A note between the pages
The Thing I Was Looking For.
Perhaps this was never really a treasure hunt.
Hello there.
I wondered if somebody would find this page.
It isn’t hidden behind a paywall. There’s no code to crack. And I’m not going to reveal that the real secret is a $997 course.
That would be a thoroughly disappointing secret.
I just wanted to leave a small note off the usual path.
For years I thought the point of searching was to find the answer that would finally make everything okay.
The right business. The right teacher. The right amount of money. The right version of myself.
And I still love searching. I hope I always will.
But I’m beginning to understand that curiosity and inadequacy aren’t the same thing.
You can go looking because you’re fascinated.
Not because you’re fundamentally missing.
You can wander because the world is wonderful.
The same outward adventure can feel entirely different depending on which of those two reasons is driving it.
Not because you’re trying to escape yourself.
That changes the flavor of an adventure, doesn’t it?
I don’t know everything about where this little Whirld will go. I rather hope I never do.
What I do know is that it’s a lot more fun to invite you along when neither one of us has anything to prove.
We’re cool either way.
Now go on. There are other doors.
And one of the nicest things about a good door is that you get to decide whether to open it.

The usual doors are still open. None of them requires an answer today.
There are more stories where these came from. A few of the longer ones wander into the letters.
